Earlier today the MAD CUP organizing committee has made a decision to cancel the MAD CUP 2008. The reason is lack of interest shown from freedivers. We got lots of unableness, unwillingness or at least uncertainness to attend, from competitors we are in regular contact with. Also no interest was shown on freediving forums. In the end all of this led to only a handful of registrations.

As we wanted to take this year’s competition again to a higher level we were on a tight financial plan. As the attendance of competitors is a prerequisite for sponsor satisfaction, financial income and after all for high level performances such competition needs, we were forced to make a decision and cancel the competition.

We are currently thinking of rescheduling and rethinking our future visions of freediving competitions as we are unsure if these kind of expensive competitions are the right path. We would appreciate your opinions on this subject.

After two years we decided it is time to fresh up our competition design a bit. There where also some slight changes to the navigation but we tried to keep it as pure and simple. There are still some changes to come in the next days. Hope you like it.

After smal tehnical problems we are finaly opening the registrations. Remember the registration deadline is 2^nd of March 2008.

Because of tehnical problems registrations will not be opened tomorrow. We are already working on the problem.

A year has passed and it's time to be MAD again. This years MAD CUP will take place on 7^th and 8^th of March in Maribor. We will be updating this website frequently so be sure to check in every once in a while.

Registrations will be open from monday 14^th of January.
